Building on a history of place-based arts interventions since 2013, 21 Artists is now expanding its focus to also including workshops, consultation and support around creative evaluation, specialising in social impact evaluation. This new, broadened focus means we not only create our own projects, but we work with events, conferences and organisations to further challenge what impact they are having through their work; why creativity and the arts is as essential part to a healthy society; and where artists can offer solutions or activate knowledge in innovative ways. This also includes consultation for artists, arts organisations and community organisation around entrepreneurial development most often demonstrated through workshops and consultation meetings to support each organisation in a bespoke way.
We view the organisations or companies we work with more as collaborators rather than clients, working closely together towards a shared aim of creative social change. 21 Artists views itself as a mechanism to 'capture the magic' and make a case for the excellent work our collaborators are doing through robust yet creative approaches to evaluation, research, social impact and exchange.
Through interventions, workshops, consultation and curatorial support, 21 Artists is dedicated to the exploration of documenting, evaluating and exploring social change, with a particular focus on the creative industries. In an increasingly competitive funding environment, we believe social impact is not only an essential tool for better understanding of an organisation’s mission and impact but can also be an incredible funding tool for diversifying revenue streams and communicating value.
We use a creative approach at every stage of the evaluation process- from developing and implementing evaluation frameworks to analysing and presenting data collected.
Our areas of specialism include:
We also provide bespoke, longer term evaluation support for festivals, youth programmes and social change projects, community engaged projects, and more.
Building the value of understanding an organisation’s social impact in entrepreneurial development, we also work with organisations to integrate a model for entrepreneurship that helps artists and arts organisations to innovate in how they create and capture value. We offer support on business model innovation in a holistic way that is in line with each organisation's mission and the value they already create, offering bespoke consultation to foster growth and the development of new revenue streams.
